Dr. Hawkes is a board-certified Diagnostic Radiologist who recently retired from the Navy after 26 years. He earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha in 2005. A prior Navy Physical Therapist, he also graduated with a Master’s Degree of Physical Therapy from the Army-Baylor University Program in 1996. Following medical school and an internship year at Naval Medical Center San Diego, he served the operational community as an Undersea Medical Officer at Naval Base Kitsap, taking care of Navy submariners and divers. His numerous Navy assignments included assignments in Texas, North Carolina, Maryland, Connecticut, Florida, California, Washington, and Sicily. A well-rounded diagnostic radiologist and woman’s imager, he uses his prior clinical background to aid his interest in musculoskeletal imaging, specializing in image-guided musculoskeletal interventions and problem solving. He lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife Jeni and four children.
